Who IS David R. Edwards?

An Honorably Discharged Disabled Veteran, Formerly an Army Broadcast Journalist and Public Affairs Specialist, a Former student of the Temple School of Radio/Television/Film, an addict of Nicotine, Caffeine, and most things legal, but unhealthy. I'll take a stance on any topic, no matter how irrelevant or uninteresting...The fun is in the argument, and you never know where the argument will take you. I may not always have the most popular opinions, but respect has to start somewhere. While I may not always like your side of the story, I'll listen, respect it...and then tell you all the reasons you are probably wrong...

And this is...

The Bright Side

  3. Allright Edwards...here's one for you. I was raised Catholic, however I find I am pretty liberal as far as most things go, even abortion. While that's not for me or my daughter, we both feel that it is each individuals choice as to what's best to do. Here in Colorado, running for state Senate is Ken Buck. Good ole Ken wants to do the following for the good folks of Colorado: Repeal the Colorado Consititutions ammendment 17 which would take away our right to VOTE on senators. He wants to up the term limits from 2 years to 4, and his piece de resistance: do away with any abortion in the state even in the cases of RAPE and INCEST. Oh, and for those of us on disability: place social security in private hands and play the stock market, do away...AWAY I said with Medicare and give the biggest tax breaks to companies who are taking jobs away from Americans and going overseas with them. Your thoughts? On any one of his ideas. And BTW Edwards....this was a very cool idea. You'd make a good Spruce and lets clone the dogs....forget the cats.

  4. Thanks for the input Suzy, I definately have some pretty distinct stances on most of the ideas you brought to the table. My blogging partner and I are doing some brainstorming at the moment. we hope to start the debating tomorrow. We are definately trying to keep this thing as fun and informative, however, we may be staying away from strictly political conversation as a rule...not to say it won't find it's way into the mix, but I don't expect it to ever be the main topic of discussion. At this point, i'm not counting anything out...thanks again for the input and ideas!

  5. I would def do a piece on crazy politicians, but the midterms are so close that I doubt we have time to do the article justice for politicians in the current race. Maybe we could do a pair of "Who's Who" pieces after the results come in of the crazies who won elections.
